Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Shortlist (“Shortlist,” “we,” “us”), an Instagram DM concierge that replies to the reels, posts, and messages you send us with links to shop for the garments in them. Please read them before using the service.

Acceptance of terms

By messaging @wearshortlist on Instagram or otherwise using the service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please don’t use the service.

The service

Shortlist provides informational shopping recommendations. When you share content with us, we identify the garments in it and reply with links to places you may be able to buy those items or similar ones. Shortlist is an independent service and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the brands or retailers we link to. All brand names and trademarks belong to their respective owners.

Best-effort recommendations

Our recommendations are provided on a best-effort basis. We identify items and surface shopping links automatically and with human review where practical, but we do not guarantee that a link points to the exact item you shared, that an item is in stock, that pricing or availability shown by a retailer is accurate, or that any purchase outcome will result. Any purchase you make is a transaction between you and the retailer, subject to that retailer’s own terms.

Affiliate-link disclosure

Some of the links we send are affiliate links, which means Shortlist may earn a commission if you click through and make a purchase, at no additional cost to you. This never changes which items we recommend — we surface what best matches your request.

Acceptable use

• Use the service only for lawful, personal, non-commercial shopping requests.
• Don’t send content you don’t have the right to share, or content that is unlawful, abusive, or infringing.
• Don’t attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse-engineer, or misuse the service or the platforms it runs on.

Disclaimer of warranties

The service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that recommendations will meet your expectations.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Shortlist will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss arising from your use of the service or from any purchase you make through a link we provide. The service is free to use, and our aggregate liability for any claim relating to it is limited accordingly.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms as the service evolves. When we do, we’ll revise the “Last updated” date above. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
